Strengthen your security...

Not based on signatures or rules. CounterStorm’s patented behavior-based scanning engine analyzes in real-time all active sessions to create a network behavior profile.

Ensures protection against new, unreleased vulnerabilities and older vulnerabilities in systems that may not be patched

Enables security solutions to block a wide range of potential security violations, even before the publication of security vulnerabilities within the target systems.

CounterStorm’s proactive behavior-based engine enables security solutions to effectively combat new and unknown attacks, such as Spyware and Crimeware.

Behavioral Attack Recognition Engine

CounterStorm’s Behavioral Attack Recognition Engine uses behavioral patterns, or heuristics, to detect malicious activity on the network. This DHS and DoD funded technology was originally developed to identify slow and stealthy network surveillance activity. Deployed in government networks for the past 3+ years, the engine has been enhanced to detect more than 25 patterns of attack behavior.

Behavior Attack Recognition Benefits:

  • Efficiently tracks all TCP, ICMP, and UDP sessions over long periods of time, applying behavioral patterns and heuristics to detect malicious activity on the network.
  • Uses sophisticated correlation logic to accurately identify malware:
    • Zero-day worms
    • P2P usage
    • Botnets and spambots
    • Traffic to dark spaces
    • Slow and stealthy reconnaissance
  • Not based on signatures or rules. CounterStorm’s patented behavior-based scanning engine analyzes in real-time all active sessions to create a network behavior profile.
