Andrea Kaufman – Partner, Novak Biddle

Andrea S. Kaufman joined Novak Biddle in 1999 and is focused on investments
in a broad range of information technologies, including security technologies
and enterprise software. Ms. Kaufman serves as a director for ObjectVideo,
Trusted Edge, CounterStorm, Intelli7 and Intelliworks. She is an observer
for Trusted Computer Solutions. Washington Business Forward Magazine
named Ms. Kaufman to The Next Network, a list of 40 Rising Stars.
Prior to Novak Biddle, she practiced law in the corporate finance
group of Venable, Baetjer, Howard & Civiletti, where she represented
high-tech companies, underwriters and institutional investors. Ms.
Kaufman received a B.A. in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins
University, a J.D. from Fordham University, and a Masters of Law in
Taxation from Georgetown University. She is admitted to the bar in
New York and Washington, D.C.

Marc Sokol – Partner,
JK&B Capital
Marc Sokol has more than 30 years of experience in the enterprise
software industry. Prior to joining JK&B, he served in a number
of executive positions at Computer Associates (CA). While at CA, Mr.
Sokol was actively involved in defining technical and product strategies
and was responsible for the technical evaluation of strategic new
business initiatives, including database and enterprise management
as well as security. Prior to CA, Mr. Sokol was co-founder of Realia,
Inc., where he co-authored the Realia COBOL compiler, runtime and
various utilities. In 1991, he sold Realia to Pansophic Systems, which
in turn was acquired by CA. Early in his career, Mr. Sokol was a software
developer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. A widely recognized
authority on Internet and infrastructure technologies, including enterprise
management and information security, he testified before the U.S.
Congress on the Y2K issue and addressed the United Nations on the
challenges of managing global computing infrastructures. Mr. Sokol
serves on the Board of Directors of a number of technology and security
technology firms.
